This pattern shows Moda's Starflower Christmas fabrics. Amanda used two charm packs of Starflower Christmas and two charm packs of white-on-white. You need 64 5" squares to complete the pattern as shown, creating four half-square triangles out of every two 5" squares paired up (one white-on-white with one Starflower Christmas).
1.Pair one print with one white 5" square, right sides together, and sew 1/4" seam around all four edges.
2.Cut each of these squares on both diagonals, creating 4 half-square triangles (HST)s ~ 3 1/4" square. See at left. Trim the dog ears.
3. Piece each block separately, working in groups of 4 HSTs. Determine if you want to add 1" sashing between blocks or leave as-shown.
4. Recommend a 3" border before quilting and binding.
